So I may not be the authority on movies in general, but I must admit that I did enjoy this movie. Given the time period it was made it, the visual effects were surprisingly awesome! Parts of the movie were just funny. I love the way it is overacted to the extreme. But the best part is the classic shadowy figure coming down the hall at you. The suspense and thrill of the monster coming slowly to get you is still one of the best parts of a horror flick. You get the same kind of shadowy freakout in The House on Haunted Hill. I count these horror flicks way better than the blood and gore "horror" flicks of nowadays. These just make me squeemish, but a true thriller has suspense with little to no gore.
I give Nosferatu a good 3 out of 5 screams! :)
