Purpose

Our goal with this little blog/group is to watch a couple movies each month, chosen by a mutually agreed upon person. Then said group rates said movies, posts small reviews, and discussion ensues.

Twizzle

I know that most people on here HATE Twilight, I on the other hand do not. I really enjoy the actual story behind it all. I know this is a movie review club, but the movie that was made does not fully encapture what the story is really about. It was done horribly and it makes me sad. Yes there is a sparkly vampire. But what really makes the story so enrapturing is the love between the two characters. This was totally not captured in the movie.

The directing was awful, the actors pretty much did what they wanted and didn't fully play the characters properly. The story was rushed and characters were made to be different than what the author had portrayed. The visual effects could have been done so much better. I was and still am highly disappointed with the way the movie was made, and yet I will still watch it. Why? Because I'm a sucker for watching the movie and remember the better parts of the book. Thinking to myself... oh Kristen Stewart you are awful! And... why oh why is everyone in love with this Robert Patterson? He doesn't do anything but sit there and look upset the whole movie!

After the first film, the director was changed and the second movie was done much better. From visual effects to the acting.

It's like a horrible train wreck I can't help myself... I have to keep watching. And no matter what anyone says... I think they could have done the movies way better in one simple act, Pick different actors.

I give Twilight... the movie........ 2 out 5 sparkles.

  4. If it helps I probably would have liked it more had I not read the book. I am easily entertained by things that others think are horrible most of the time. I don't care. I think it's great and that's all that matters. ;)
